Here's the Latest...

So, some of you don't know, but most do, we decided not to know catch our flight and to stay here in California for a few more days.  Good thing, because I went to the Dr. this morning and the baby is head down!! YES!!  I am hoping to go into labor this week, but if not we are talking about doing an induction on Sunday.  I go tomorrow for a fetal weight ultrasound because I already measure 40 weeks, but at this point I am just happy he is head down!!  Woohoo!!

Baby Mama Drama

I wasn't going to do all these posts tonight, but now that I have sat down in front of the computer, I need to do something other than think about my baby mama drama.  I tried going to RS, but it didn't take my mind off it much.  So here is the latest on our baby to be.
I had a Dr.'s appointment this morning.  It didn't go so well, to say the least.  Well, lets just start at the beginning.  When I went to the Dr. 2 weeks ago, I mentioned that I didn't think the baby felt head down.  He feels, he says he is.  The last 2 weeks, still not feeling head down. Today, have strep B test, Dr. doesn't want to do an exam.  So here is how the dialogue went, more or less.
Me: "let's do one anyway".  Dr: "you are not dilating or thinning, I can't confirm baby is head down".  Me: "Duh!"  Dr.: "Let's do a quick ultrasound...  Oh, the baby's head is definately not down".  Me (crying): "Duh!" Dr:. "Let's wait until the baby is way too big and try and turn in a week and a half" Me: "Seriously?" Dr.: "Yes, seriously.  Then, if we can turn him, then lets wait another week and a half and see if he can get so big we have to do a c-section anyway." Me (still crying): "Seriously?"  Dr.: "Yep" Me: "See ya, I'm going back to AZ to get some serious Dr. care from the best Dr. in the whole wide world."
While this may not be an exact dialogue of how the conversation went today, it is more or less accurate.  The Dr. here doesn't want to try to turn the baby for another week and a half, and he wants me if it is successful to try to go into labor on m own.  If not he will induce at 39.5 weeks. I told him m concerns and he and I just don't see eye to eye.  I did call my favorite Dr. in AZ after I left the Dr.'s office today and I am seriously leaving tomorrow night and going to deliver there.  I just feel so much more comfortable there and I just feel like things are working out for a reason.  Don't get me wrong, I am a TOTAL basket case, but I think this is going to bring me the most peace in the end.  So, hopefully the next post will be of a successful "version" (I think that's what it is called when you turn the baby) this Friday or Saturday and that I will have a happy healthy, non c-sectioned baby.  Until then, keep us in your prayers!

Happy Birthday to my Main Man!

Ok, so if I have never mentioned it... I am so in love with this man.  He lights up my life and I couldn't be luckier to have someone so amazing as my husband.  Yesterday was his birthday, and so in honor of his special day, these were his requests: a clean house, a mommy who didn't have to do the work to get it clean, a cake decorated to certain specifications, a home cooked meal, and family game night.
What we did: woke up and made him his favorite breakfast (scones), did our best to clean the house, made the two cakes he wanted (spice and rainbow chip, decorated like I do the kids, and let the icing get a little hard... to be exact), a home cooked meal (spinach salad, mashed potatoes, and steak), played Sorry!, and then just watched some TV.  I got him the coolest salad bowl set he wanted because he already bought a new mountain bike, the Kindle book reader, and several other things, but he needed at least one gift.  The boys loved singing to him and putting fire on the cake.  I hope you had the greatest day, Daddy.  We love you bunches and bunches.

I should have taken the picture before the candles went on, but in case you were wondering, he was 32.

This man is serious about the whole birthday wish thing!!!

Sprinkled

My friend told me that for your third baby that you don't call it a shower, you call it a sprinkle.  I thought that was the cutest name.  I was truly blessed to have SO many of my dear friends here, show up and give me the cutest things for this baby (no returns or exchanges needed....Seriously!!).  There are so many talented women in this ward, but I got too many things to even begin to touch on how generous people were.  We met for brunch on Saturday at the cutest cafe.  It was at a nursery, and the restaurant was actually a greenhouse.  The lighting was beautiful, the service was super slow, but the food was really good.  Hence the picture of my breakfast.  Pancakes with orange syrup.  It is hard for me to understand how I have made more dear friends in the two years here than I have the entire rest of my 30 years on earth, but I have.  I consider each person that came, a dear, dear friend.  What an amazing place I am in!!!

First Snow Trip

We took the kids for their first official snow trip a few weeks ago.  I have to say that this spur of the moment trip could have been one of the top 3 vacations we have ever taken as a family.  The boys had SOOOOOO much fun.  They played from the second we got out of the car and cried when we left.  We packed into two and a half days, playing in the snow, dinner out, playing video games, a buffet of desserts, fun adult games, a gondola ride, ice skating, smores by the fire, tubing, playing in the snow some more, Steve snow boarding, mom shopping, lots of hot cocoa, and some of the best family fun ever.  I never heard a single complaint of being cold, or about having to get dressed in all those clothes. I have never seen two braver or funnier boys tubing.  What a blast.  Thanks to our friends for the invite!!!  Who knew so much fun was just a little over an hour away.  (Sorry about the millions of pictures.  One day I will have someone show me how to do one of those cute little collages.)

7 of us hooked tubes to ride down.  The boys thought it was so fun.  We got going super fast with all that weight pulling us down.
I went down a few times, but was mostly the photographer.  I couldn't zip or button my jacket around my belly, but it was a beautiful day.
Nice double chin mom!  Good thing I can blame it on being weeks from delivery! And check out the outfits on the boys.  Totally my husband, but aren't they cute in their matching black/green outfits?
Ok, I just couldn't get enough of Cohen in his tube.  He LOVED tubing.  He never hesitated to go down and the second ride he wanted to go "all by myself".  He could have sat in the tube indian style, but he liked riding like this.  I laughed out loud every time I saw him get in.  TOO cute!

Landon fit better, but still pretty funny seeing them slip down in.

Throwing snow at daddy who was on break for lunch.  He hasn't gotten to snow board in a while and it was awesome that he got this chance.  I wish we could do it more.  He really loves it.  I actually was really missing being on the slopes.  I just feel so comfortable in the snow.  Brings back some of the best childhood memories I have.
Cohen couldn't ice skate, but all 6'5" of Steve, stooped over him and skated him around the rink.  Unlimited fun for $5.  How do you beat that?
Landon was determined to actually learn to skate.  He fell a million times, and I swear his bum was black and blue, but he was having so much fun.
You can see Landon's black eye really well in this picture.  He got it the weekend I went to Wicked.  He nearly poked his eye out on a book holder.  This is a week later.  It was a doozy!
Happy Boy!
Happy Boys!
Super happy boy!
On the gondola ride up the hill to have lunch.

I think this was almost better than Disneyland, Hawaii, the beach, or anywhere else we have taken these kids.

A Wicked Weekend

Friday afternoon, 2 friends of mine and I got to run off on a girls' getaway.  I can't believe it has already come and gone, but we planned this trip months ago and I am SO glad we did.  We went to go see Wicked in San Francisco Friday, stay the night and shop all day Saturday.  While we all felt just a tinge guilty leaving our husbands, they were all super supportive of us going. Wicked was AMaZInG!  There was non-stop conversation, good food, good shopping, (lots of strange people) and just good fun.  These girls are both so amazing and have been great friends to me.  Thanks for taking me up on my wild idea!
Houston's for dinner (always a SO good!)
Somehow I only got 3 pictures, but I think we were pushing it a bit asking people to take pictures with all 3 cameras!
