The boys at 4 months

Here are the boys at 4 months. Who do you think Grey looks like?

Grey is 4 months old

Grey had his 4 month check, a few weeks late, but here is where the little chunker weighed in.

On August 19 (4 1/2 months):

Height: 28" (99%)

Weight: 17 lb. 9 oz. (89%)

Head: I am not sure the measurement, but it was the 59%

I think they were saying he was huge, with a little head, but we think he is perfect. I had him in less than a week ago and he already gained 8 more ounces.
He is really into touching everything.
He hates the binky. I am trying a bunch of new ones, but he is hating them all.
He rolls over occasionally, but doesn't care that he can.
He is not sleeping well anymore at night.
He is up several times a night, but goes down easy.
He is napping fairly well, 3-4 times a day. Right now he is doing a great 2 hour morning nap.
He is drooling up a storm, although it seems less than the other boys.
He loves when the boys talk to him. You can see the moment he makes eye contact.
He loves his saucer, his bouncy seat is on the way out, and the swing is out the door.
He loves to be on the go. He seems to be great out to dinner and just being on errands.
He is still going to bed around 8:30, which is by far the latest of any of my kids.
He loves toys, and loves to touch and shake and feel everything.
He loves to be outside.
We are really enjoying him so much. What a blessing he is. It is totally crazy with 3 kids, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't have any great pictures of him and am in dire need of taking him somewhere to get his picture taken, but can't fathom doing it with all 3 kids. So here is a random one of him from the first of August.

Father/Sons Campout

Steve took the boys camping in July, just him and Landon and Co. The Father/Sons for church was a bust this year because it poured buckets, so he made it up to them and took them 2 nights, just the 3 of them. He didn't invite friends, he just wanted them to himself. He wanted their undivided attention and he wanted them to have his. What an amazing Dad. The trip was a blast. They swam, played darts, fished, dug in the dirt, slept in a tent, and feed a deer. Yep, that's right. A deer actually ate out of the boys hands and Steve caught it on camera. They were so excited. The boys didn't want to come home. They want to "live at camping". I had some really great one on one time with Grey, but man is this a lonely house without the rest of my boys. I am so lucky to have them all. And so lucky to have gotten some time to myself to miss them.

Landon's First Loose Tooth

Growing up having a Dad as a dentist had its pluses. First, if you were afraid of the dentist, he pulled out all the stops and was always super patient. Second, if you had a loose tooth, and wanted the tooth fairy to come, he was always willing to speed up the process. Needless to say, I don't remember one single baby tooth of mine ever falling out. Every time I was in for a cleaning, if a tooth was loose, he pulled it. Well, I have told this to Landon on several occasions. We had a few filling to do while we were in Arizona this summer (5 to be exact...oops!) and Landon told his Papa he had a loose tooth he wanted out. He was SO excited...and so was my dad. Landon was up for having one tooth out, but my Dad pulled both lower centrals out. Landon was so mad he pulled both, but the tooth fairy left 2 dollars and that made it better. He is so cute with those spaces there. And he tells everyone we see... "my Papa pulled both of my teeth out." He was so brave and even didn't mind the shots. Landon, you are growing up way too fast!

Arizona Vacation

The last 2 years we have gone to Arizona for the 4th of July. Why we decide to go when it's 114 degrees, I'm not sure. But we do, and it is always a blast. What else can you do but get wet? We spent the day of the 4th with Steve's boss and his family. They are awesome people and we love being able to hang out on non-work related things. The boys swam and played for over 3 hours in the pool. Then later that night, after way too much sun, we sat in my moms' back yard and watched the fireworks for a few minutes. We had the boys yell and scream and cheer, so they wouldn't be scared. It seemed to work. Co watched from Steve's shoulders, and had no clue his buns were hanging out the whole time. Too cute. We got to spend time with Summer, Corin, Stephanie, Maury, Chloe, Mimi and of course Grandma and Papa Didi. We lived at the pool and ate frozen yogurt pretty much every day. Steve did get to take me to dinner one night, but lets just say that was a royal disaster. You would think that 3 adults could manage 3 kids, but it proved to be tougher than one might think.

Anyway, we had an amazing time and we loved being able to visit so many of our friends and spend great time with family. I forgot my camera for almost everything we did, but I did catch a few photos of the boys at one of the outdoor malls that has a water play area. They had a great time eating dinner and hanging out with some of our friends. I just can't figure out for the life of me, why when it is 114 degrees, would you have a fire burning?!?!

Bedazzeled

So, since I have boys, I have to be careful what toys that I buy for them.  I am all about them being well rounded, but sometimes I think that I forget that they love things that may seem girly to most people.  I hesitated at first to buy this jewelry making set, but it is some of the best money I have spent.  We have spent countless hours making bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc.  They love the fact that they can create and recreate.  And for me, it is something that I can do with them for an extended amount of time and not get bored.  Don't get me wrong, I love trucks, blocks, superheros and sports, but I just don't know how to make good crashing sounds and don't know how to fight the bad guy.
So, the other day, Landon wouldn't nap, so I spent some good one on one time with him.  This is what we decided to do.  Grey, Landon and I were bedazzeled from head to toe.  We had a blast.  Grey didn't seem to mind having stuff put all over him.  I highly recommend this fun snap together set by Parents.  We have even made a day of it, wearing our fancy jewelry to various places.  It is just that fun!

Notice the super cute toe ring?

Where does the time go?

So this has been a wild month.  We started the month with a trip to AZ.  We spent 9 days there and did tons with Grandma and Papa DiDi.  The rest of the month is a blur.  I will post the pictures from our trip to Az, and Steve's Father/Son campout.  I have some other fun random pics, too, but no time to post.  Anyway, here is a quick picture of Shay and Grey.  Ok, so for those of you who don't know, she was born the day before Grey was, to some of our good friends.  Turns out their names rhyme, and thus with birthdays a day apart (she's the 3rd, he's the 4th) we figure they are destined to be together.  How cute are they in their matching jammies?
I also wanted to remind myself that Grey rolled over for the first time on Tuesday (28th).  He has done it a few times since, but I am so not ready for him to grow up.  I can't believe that he will be 4 months this week.
