First Big Bath and other random pics

So Grey isn't in love with his big bath just yet.  Well, maybe it's baths in general.  He definitly wasn't crazy about the spit baths either.  I thought my other boys were in love from the start once they could get in the real tub, but maybe my memory fails.  Grey screams at bath time every night.  It is actually really cute.  Most often it is after the boys go to bed, so Landon usually comes down and says Grey is being WAY too LoUd!!!  He is quite the traveling man these days.  He has been to see 2 movies, 3 t-ball games, picked up his brothers at school each day, Chick-fil-A twice, Costa Vida numerous times, Costco, and carted to numerous other errands.  He is almost always an angel and saves being fussy for home.  He is a such a blessing.  Have I mentioned that Landon has already put in a request for another baby.  It must be a girl this time.  And have I mentioned that I have already had moments of weakness.  I have enjoyed getting up every hour or two at night with him.  I have enjoyed each hug and kiss.  The smell of his hair, his spit-up, and his sweet breath.  I wish I could make these moments last longer.  I am SO in LoVe with this little man!

My Superheros

Steve got the boys all in their Superman outfits.  Landon and Co are in their jammies and Grey is starving and ready to be fed, but aren't they so cute together!

Easter

Easter was a little crazy this year since I just had the baby a week before.  I didn't get to Target until Saturday and so pretty much everything was sold out.  Plastic eggs included.  I happened to have a dozen on hand, but other than that and the dozen we colored, that was it.  I got a few odds and ends to call it enough for a basket, but no table setting, the food was so-so and the hunt was fair.  It was kindof hectic.  I did get around to going to church, but it was crazy there, too.  I didn't get many pictures of the family, and the ones we were supposed to take as a family got ruined because of the pooping incident.  We woke up and colored eggs, again because I didn't get around to it on Saturday, and then we had crepes.  We went to church, where after the 2nd hour and getting pooped and peed on it the mothers lounge with 5 other nursing moms, I headed home.  The Easter Bunny came while the boys were at church and they had fun as pitiful as it seemed to me.

Some of our friends decorate our tree every year.  I think this is the cutest idea and the kids are sure it means the Easter Bunny came!
The boys after church in their Easter outfits.  I didn't get around to getting anything new, but less is more...right?
My baby's first Easter.  He swam in his Easter outfit, but he was sure cute.  I will get pictures of him in it another time.
They have really enjoyed most of what ended up in the basket and they were so excited.  I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself.

I can't believe how big Landon seems now that the baby is here.  He is enjoying Grey so much.  The first thing he does each morning is ask to hold the baby.  He has even compared how Grey smells to his beloved "doggy".  He asked me the other day who I thought smelled better, Grey or doggy.  He thinks they are equal.  Mommy prefers Grey, but if you knew how much it took to get to the same level as doggy, you would understand his love for his brother.

Cohen loved the hunt.  He got SO excited every time he found an egg.  He is so cute when he is having fun.  He almost glows with excitement.  He has been showing some of the signs of having a new baby.  He seems super emotional and tired.  He has had several out of character melt downs and just is having a hard time this week.  He went back to school today and that seemed to help.  He is just such a sweet guy, I hate to see him having a time.
Cohen holding the eggs he and Landon colored.  We had kits from last year that didn't get used and they got to paint the eggs and do all sorts of fun things with them.  I liked it way better than the old fashioned dipping.  They had dye all over, but they had a blast.

One big happy family.  Baby Grey sat on the counter for all the egg coloring action, as to not be left out.  His brothers thought this was so funny.  I hate the post baby pictures, but that is the price a mom pays for having the most amazing addition to our family!

What do you think?

Landon

Cohen

Grey

These are the boys in the day or two after they were born.  I think it is hard to tell because there aren't great pictures of Landon and Cohen's face, but I think Greyson is a mix of the two.  He was circumcised yesterday and I thought for sure last night was going to be rough, but he did great.  We couldn't wake him for almost 6 hours, to eat or anything, but we got him up for a bath and just before bed and this was the first night he wasn't awake from 3-5am.  He is doing really great and I am feeling really good.  I forget how used to not sleeping a mom gets.  Like it is normal to be awake 2-3 times a night for an hour or more.  I am so in love with this little guy.  He loves his mommy.  My other boys really loved Grandma and Steve, too, but Grey is a bit more smitten with mommy.  The nursing is slowly getting better.  I can see a less painful end in sight.  Now I just need to get to those masses of things that need attending to.  The bills, craft projects I started and haven't finished, etc.  I have stacks of junk everywhere!  Aaahh!!

Introducing...

Greyson "Grey" James Carter
Born 4-4-09
2:46pm
8lb. 4oz.
20.5 inches
The delivery went well and we are all adjusting to having baby #3.  The boys are totally in love.  He is my biggest baby by 3 oz.  Has the smallest hands and feet of any of my kids, and he is the first not to have a prominent cowlick.  He is not really sleeping at night and this is a first for me.  I am enjoying having Steve and his mom around for an extra set of hands.  I am struggeling through the breast feeding right now as I forget that this is one of the hardest parts for me due to my gross oversupply of milk.  Think enough for triplets or to be a paid wet nurse.  It is a blessing to have another sweet baby and I am glad to know that he is loved by his whole family. He looks the most like Cohen to me, but he has his own look for sure.  I will post baby pictures of the other boys to compare when I am up for it.  Until then.
