What have we been doing for the last month?

Honestly, the last month feels like a huge blur. Since we got back from our wonderful winter vacation, life has been chaotic. I'm really not sure that anything happened the last two weeks of February, but life just kept us busy.

Baseball has officially started. With the rain and other things, I think we have made it to only 2 or 3 practices so far, but games start this Saturday and I think that will make things a bit more fun. Baseball is my least favorite sport to watch and I think it is Landon's least favorite to play, so we will have to see if we stick with it next year.

The first of March I went to a dental convention in Arizona. While I enjoyed the beautiful weather, it was hard to sit in classes all day and not get to enjoy my first outing away from kids since I had baby Grey. If I hadn't procrastinated doing my continuing education for my hygiene license, maybe I could have ditched a class or two, but that wouldn't be my style to do something in a timely fashion. I enjoyed doing a tiny bit of shopping, and going to dinner with my best friend, but not enough fun time to call it a fun trip.
Steve did a wonderful job with all 3 boys while I was away. He not only cleaned house, did some laundry, he pulled off getting to baseball and going to church all by himself (and on time I might add). Oh, and went shopping at the mall for fun!! And even more, he did it gladly. He loves those boys and as my friend would call him he's a "Disney Dad", because everything is more fun when he's around.

Trying to get organized after being gone is tough. Trying to get organized and trying to get ready to leave town again seemed overwhelming. I turned around and left for AZ the very next weekend for a trip that lasted less than 15 hours there. My sister is getting married and had a bridal shower and that was all I could stay for. When I got back to CA, I traded kids with Steve and he went to a work meeting then I headed back to the airport so he and Landon could go see grandma Carter.

Steve and Landon enjoyed time with Grandma and although she is still in the hospital and still needs lots of assistance with eating and breathing, she is able to talk a bit and that was fun for them to visit with her. Landon has such a sweet spirit and really is a caretaker at heart. He spent hours on end at the hospital and never complained that there wasn't much to do but draw and write in a composition book that I sent with him.

Landon and Steve returned home on Monday and I headed back to the airport for the old switcheroo again. That was the 6th trip to the airport in 2 weeks (not counting the to and from in AZ, because then that would be 10!). Wow! Steve had to go down to SF and so a quick kiss and he was off for 3 more days. I will be glad to have him home tomorrow for a few days.

I'm not much for the crazy life. I like a laid back, enjoy doing nothing type of life style. Being on the go 24/7 isn't much to my liking. Unfortunately the next two months don't get any better. Thankfully a lot of it will be fun, but the next while includes a trip to SF and Half Moon Bay, a trip to Arizona, lots and lots of baseball, training for my race, Ragnar trip, a wedding in AZ, another dental convention, and daily life in between. And all that will happen by the middle of May. Better brace myself!
