Swim Lessons

Landon has been taking swim lessons for the last 2 weeks. Of course, he didn't want to go at first, but now he loves them. His teachers are all so sweet and he is getting so comfortable in the water. The hardest thing for him is to keep his head above water long enough to hear the instructions since he has a new found love of just being under the water. Cohen loves to go to the lessons, too. I didn't sign him up because I didn't think he was comfortable enough in the water on his own. The teachers are so kind to let him get on the swim step and play, so he thinks he is totally doing the lesson. He gets in and out and plays with the rings, it is perfect! I am so glad we did them and I will definitely be doing them again next year! It was a bargain ($50 for 8 45 min. lessons!!!). We may even do them twice next year!

Whistle while you work

So Steve could see I was a little overwhelmed the other day and offered to help me with my mass of laundry. Landon was dying to help and Steve told him no. Mind you, Steve asked him to play because he enjoys the chance to sit back and watch him. After a full melt down, Landon had a pile of their pj's and as you can see, was SO happy to be helping. I am a bit worried that he is a little OCD when he does some stuff. Everything had to have a match, the perfect piles, fold and refold to perfection. It really was sweet. He was so proud of himself.

The Dark Knights

It is so cute to me that they LOVE to dress up. They have no clue that the new Batman movie came out recently, but the last week they have been in Batman mode. Usually it is Spiderman, but sometimes power rangers or superman, ironic that it is batman right now.

How much is it really worth?

So, about 6 weeks ago, our home computer crashed.  Someone from church offered to try to pull the information from it, but long story short, it was too damaged.  But there was good news, it could be done.  He informed us that there are people out there that can do it for you, but it would cost several thousand dollars.  Of course, the only thing on it that is of any value, is our pictures.  We hadn't saved the info to anything else in over a year.  We don't have thousands to just spend, but I can't seem to think about losing all those memories.  So, how much is it really worth.  What is the breaking point that you say, "No, I won't pay that much to fix it."  So, so sad.  Any suggestions???

Should I be worried......???

Ok, so maybe I shouldn't post this stuff....but, I think, I think it is funny. I guess that is, I think it is funny, but maybe I shouldn't. So the story starts with Landon asking this morning, "Mom, where is that dancing thing I LOVE to wear." My response, "I don't know honey. (Really I do, but last time he got out "that dancing thing", I hid it MUCH, MUCH higher so that I wouldn't be embarrassed when a babysitter or friends were over and he got the urge to dance. If you get what I mean.)" So after another moment in my closet, he comes out dressed like this. Now need I say that this is a normal tank top, that he has so artistically criss-crossed to make "prettier". And of course, he insists and brother agrees, that Cohen needs one, too. So..... should I be worried?????

10 Years Later.....

Steve and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. It is hard to believe that it has been that long. We have done a ton over the last ten years, but I can sincerely say that our relationship is far better and stronger today than when we got married. I never thought it would get better every year, but somehow it does. I got to tag along on another of his work trips to Hawaii, and we had a ton of fun together. Thanks to G&G Carter for always watching our boys. And yes, we are total losers, because this is the only picture from our entire trip. Oh well.

Pocket Change

So I am in the kitchen the other day and Cohen comes running in and he is jingling????? He is in his usual attire, diaper only, but I am sure it is him that is most definately jingling. He has the silliest look on his face and I ask him what that noise was, and of course he answers " I got money's in my pocket." Of course he does. It made total sense to him. No pocket? No problem!
