Spoiled
So I have so many things that I wanted to post since I am so behind, but one that I forgot about was the So You Think You Can Dance concert. I truly LOVE my husband who takes such great care of me. He knew I was bummed I wasn't going, so after we talked he went online and bought me two tickets. I guess I shouldn't say two tickets, but two FRONT row tickets. I am spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. I don't ever think he has ever not gone above the call of duty for a special occasion or for no reason at all. Landon and I went and had an awesome date together. He was a trooper since it started at bedtime, but he loves to watch the show with us at home. Actually he requests the dances by name and has a total crush on Chelsea Hightower. He think Gev is "hilarious", which is so funny to hear him say. He doesn't like the mushy romantic slow dances, but "the door", "Bleeding Love", and "No Air" are a few favorites. He wished "the crazy guys that do that thing where they bend backward" had come, but all in all we both loved it. Thank you hubby for taking care of us. Oh, and if anyone knows how in the heck to get my pictures from my phone onto this blog, I will post a few pics. Because I forgot my camera, again!!!
News...
I realized that I hadn't officially said that we are expecting another baby. I guess I figured that most people know because it is no longer a big secret, but then I realized there were still a lot of people that don't know. We are super excited and super nervous about adding to the brood. I am due in April. We don't know what we are having yet, but my doctor has been very patient with my nervousness and has done a couple of ultrasounds for me. The last one was about two weeks ago and it was amazing to see the baby move and wave its little arms and legs around. I will be glad when I can feel the baby move. I think it will be a boy. Steve thinks its a girl. I was right twice before, so we'll see.
The City
We took the boys to San Francisco this weekend to hang out and see the city. We went to a Sharks hockey game on Thursday night and then headed out to San Fran. Steve had to work there on Friday so thank you to his work for paying for our stay at the JW Marriott. We walked the wharf, ate at Sears for breakfast, walked the mall and started getting a few fall clothes for the boys, ate at my favorite restaurant Houston's, walked across the Golden Gate bridge and watched the Blue Angels. We packed all of that in on Friday and part of Saturday and then rushed home for a birthday party Landon didn't want to miss. It was our first family trip to the city and the boys loved it. We will definitely be going more now that Steve is spending more time there. Of course, I forgot the camera at home. Oh well, we'll remember it next time.

The Bully
So school always has its ups and downs, but this last week has been really hard. I wish I could say that it wasn't my kid that was involoved and by now I wish I could say that my kid was the bully, but he is the victim. There is a really rotten kid in his class and he as gotten punched in the face twice this week. No blood, no tears (well not from Landon), but a bit of sadness. He seems to be ok, but I wish I could teach him to stick up for himself without being a bully too. I am proud of him for not hitting back, but I would be happy if they kicked that spoiled, rotten, only-child out of his class!!!!!!!!! I am thinking Adventure Christian may need to not teach them to turn the other cheek!!! Ha, ha, mothers are far less forgiving than their sweet, sweet children!
All dressed up
Steve has done an amazing job with these two boys. They are excited every week to get dressed for church. They always want a "button shirt" and tie like daddy. He takes the chore upon himself every Sunday to get them ready. I am not sure how much he is paying to get those shirts dry cleaned, but if he wants to do that, well, I'm not complaining since they always look SO handsom.

Soccer
Soccer season is well under way and it is so fun being a soccer mom. Landon has done really well in soccer and the transition has been better even than our last basketball season. He is really getting the hang of the game and asks to play all the positions. He loves getting his uniform on but hates the socks and shin guards. They itch, he says.
How cute is their team banner?
Soccer dad and soccer bro. Cohen loves going to soccer practice and games. Landon has a friend on the team and he has a brother that is around Co's age. They both get to play outside every week twice a week. Good boy fun. They both have to have their water bottles and Co needs his own chair. He even carries it himself. Funny kid!
He loves playing defender. I think that is his favorite. He is actually pretty good at it. Offense is a bit intimidating still and goalie is definately not his forte, but he can really kick it hard and far if he knows that is his job.
I love that the kids line up and do the slapping hands thing. They totally don't get it, but it is cute. They run under a bridge the parents make with their hands after. Too cute. Life is great being the mom!

First Day of School......Finally!!!
So after missing our first official week of school because of vacation, Landon finally started Pre-K today. All in all, it was a good start. Clothes on without a fight, hair combed with minimal fight, teeth brushed, shoes on before leaving home, pictures taken and best of all no tears. We were a little late due to freeway closures and little brother tantrums, so the pass off to the teacher ended up being more of a shove than a gentle, loving hand off, but still, no tears. He was happy when he came home, but he did tell Steve, "we have lots of really hard work to do". Of course, his favorite thing, recess.
He gets to bring his own snack each day and so he is really excited about his Spiderman lunch pail. His teachers seem really sweet and he knows about 5 kids from his class last year. For him, familiarity is the key. He likes to see the same faces and have the same routine each day. The program is 5 days a week, so we'll see how tired I am of driving by week end, but all in all it made for a great day.

Cohen took a l0ng time to adjust to time without Landon last year. He was usually rotten while he was gone making it not good one on one time. Luckily today was fun once his tantrum was over. Need I say, this crying fit was over a silly toy that Landon didn't want him to have while he was at school. I don't blame Landon since we misplaced a few Spiderman toys last year while he was at school. I did get a lot done....car wash, JoAnn's, bank, grocery store. Maybe tomorrow I will get a shower in there somewhere, too.
Hopefully I can post our vacation pictures tomorrow.
